Behind The Filter Podcast: After Dark Edition

Hormones, Hair Transitions, and… Kitty Sunning?
Welcome back to the latest edition of the Behind the Filter Podcast: After Dark!
From reality TV villains to high-tech brain "massages," here is the breakdown of our latest conversation.
The "Love is Blind" Obsession
We didn't plan on it, but we are officially sucked into the latest season of Love is Blind (shoutout to "Hair Ashley" for having it on during a 6-hour hair processing session!).
This season is messy, and we have some thoughts:
The "Munchkin" Villain: We discussed Chris—the guy who told a gorgeous, successful doctor she wasn't his type because she didn't do Pilates. The internet has officially labeled him the villain, especially after he saw her massive house and suddenly had a change of heart.
The Attraction Dilemma: We’re also side-eyeing the contestant who is blatantly not attracted to his fiancée’s features but has no problem with the physical side of things on the honeymoon. If you have a specific "type," maybe a show where the pods are literally blind isn't for you!
Beauty & Health Updates: The Gray Transition
I went into a deep dive into my gray hair transition. If you’re thinking about gray blending, listen up:
It’s a Marathon: This is session four, and it can take up to five sessions to get it right.
The Palette Shift: When you change your hair color this drastically, your entire makeup palette has to change, too.
Inflammation & Hormone Health
We also chatted about my progress at Total Body Wellness. I am down from 145 lbs to 131 lbs, but the real victory isn't the number—it's the de-puffing. When you have an autoimmune disorder, you know that "inflammation face" all too well. The next step will hopefully be implementing HRT back into the game!
High-Tech Wellness: The ExoMind Experience
Ashley has been trying a new treatment called ExoMind at Prana Wellness, and the results sound like a literal "shower for your brain."
What is ExoMind?
It’s a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment designed to fight:
Anxiety and Stress
Brain Fog
Sleep Issues (The "Chronological Clock")
After a few sessions, the "fog" has lifted, focus is back, and the 3:00 a.m. insomnia is finally being replaced by actual tiredness at 11:30 p.m. It’s like the focus of ADHD medication without the stimulant side effects.
My Strange Addiction: "Kitty Sunning"
To wrap things up, we had to discuss the viral (and very strange) trend of "Kitty Sunning" (or Perineum Sunning).
A woman named Tara made headlines for positioning herself on her back to get direct vitamin D... down there. While influencers claim it boosts vitality and creativity, medical experts are (rightfully) warning about the sensitivity of that skin. We’re all for grounding and morning sunlight, but we might leave this specific practice to the professionals!
Don’t forget—March 19th is Prana Wellness’s one-year anniversary! They’re having a ticketed event with massive giveaways, including 50 units of Juveau and IPL treatments. We might even set up the podcast booth there!
