When I first met Carolina, I was taken aback by the depth of her understanding and passion for her culture and heritage. Her profound knowledge of the history of Indigenous Latinos and American Indians are truly remarkable, spanning centuries of events that have shaped our country. It was evident that Carolina's dedication to advocacy and education stemmed from a genuine love for her community and a desire to empower others through awareness of their own history.
